Electrical Principles and Control Structure of Rail-Mounted Electric Flatbed Cart

Many customers are curious about the control methods of rail-mounted electric flatbed carts. Simply put, the rail-mounted electric flatbed cart has two main control modes: manual and automatic. Switching between modes can be done via the “Remote/Local” knob on the cart’s control box.

Manual Mode: The equipment relies on a wireless remote control to perform forward, backward, and roller conveyor forward/reverse operations. In this mode, the cart is no longer controlled by the ground-based main control system. The flatbed cart control system uploads the equipment’s operating status to the ground-based main control system via a wireless network, displaying the real-time status intuitively in different colors on the touchscreen monitoring interface.

Automatic Mode: The rail-mounted flatbed cart is centrally dispatched by the ground-based main control system. Commands such as vehicle speed and target station are issued by the ground-based main control system. The touchscreen displays real-time vehicle speed, real-time location, and target station information. The flatbed cart’s electrical box is equipped with a station button and status indicator lights, allowing direct designation of the flatbed cart’s target station. The indicator lights distinguish between called stations and the current target station.
